About Alice

Alice Ann Hope was born on December 24, 1928 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Ruby Hope. Her family then moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas when she was 2 1/2 years of age. She has a younger brother, Jim Hope.

Alice married William (Bill) Clardy on September 3, 1950 at South Baptist Church in Ft. Smith. After their marriage they lived in several states while Bill served as a Chaplain in the Navy. They had three sons, William, David and Mark. Then Bill and Alice moved to Temple, Texas in 1982. Bill passed away on April 19, 1997. Her oldest son, William, was tragically killed on July 24, 2007 by lighting and he is sorely missed by the family.

Alice has three daugther-in-laws, Tawnya, Kathy and Carla, eight grandchildren, Nathan, Andrew, Stephen, Annie, Evie, Alex, Ben and James and one grandaughter-in-law, Morgan.

Alice is a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple. She teaches a ladies Sundy School class and sings in the choir.

She means so much to so many people and we want to do all we can to honor her on her 80th birthday. Please leave your comments and best wishes for Mrs. Alice Clardy (by clicking on the "x comments" link below) to show her how much she means to you and your loved ones.

Alice,

I have always thought that you have a beautiful smile. It's great having you back in the choir. Enjoy your party. We will be celebrating our son's college graduation on that day so we will not be able to attend. Happy Birthday!

Hi Alice,
Since I don't know you very well, I'm glad that you're in the soprano section ... more chances to get to know you better! You are a very sweet lady and great addition to our choir. God Bless You on your 80th.

Dear Mrs. Clardy,
I appreciate so much the Godly example that you have set for younger Christian women....may you be blessed as much as you have blessed us.
Happy Birthday!
